New Orleans Day 2
We had breakfast at Mister Gregory’s and it was A M A Z I N G. I had the Fierce Femme and it is tied as one of the best meals of the trip and possibly the best breakfast I have ever had. So simple, so filling. Will have pics with my “iPhone pics” post!
We signed up for the hop-on hop-off bus tour and, despite the crazy rain, had a good time. We took it from just next to the St. Louis Cemetery #1 to the Garden District where we got off and did a little shopping. We went to Sucre, Storyville (a souvenir shirt place), the Garden District Book Shop, and Lafayette Cemetery #1. Then we hopped on another bus to go to the French Quarter to walk though the French Market, explore Jackson Square, do more souvenir shopping, and stop by Faulkner House Books. We went to Stanly for lunch and shared gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya. We were beat from walking around in the rain so we called it an early night, having Verti Marte leftovers and finishing up the Fall.
