Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter is a good book set in an interesting world. I didn’t care much for our main character, Agnes. It felt like if she were a real person who was that not put together, things would not go nearly as well for her. The cat shelter aspect of the book seemed to be more in the background than the title would suggest, and the book was more focused on magicians. It wasn’t a book I flew through or that stuck with me, and almost a month after finishing it I find it to be quite forgettable.
