Heartless Hunter (The Crimson Moth #1) by Kristen Ciccarelli 5/5 Stars
Heartless Hunter came out of nowhere and completely blew me away. Witches, magic, and romance are some of my favorite themes and they’re done so well here. There were a few small inconsistencies (like Rune getting injured, it being a big deal for no one to see it for one evening, then never being mentioned again) and the time period is unspecified (they have gas lights but taking a “shower” is mentioned and Rune wears pants sometimes, kinda confusing) but but but, compared to how compelling the story and writing are I only mention these things in passing. I was completely enthralled and once I got about 60% in I put a movie on for my three-year-old because I. Had. To. Finish. This. Book. Perfect beach read or if you feel like getting lost in a book. Waiting for the second one is so unfair.
