Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

The third year is the charm because I finally made it to the Tulip Festival! Every April there are crazy amounts of tulips about an hour north of Seattle and while we went the last weekend of the month and a lot was gone already, it was still really neat to see. It rained pretty hard on the drive up but thankfully by the time we got there it had stopped. I had been warned by my sister to wear…

ECCC 2014

ECCC 2014

My first comic con. Certainly not my last. What got me excited was an appearance by Cary Elwes, who plays Robin in Robin Hood Men in Tights, one of my most favorite movies of all time. Unfortunately he dropped out a few days before the show and that made me extremely sad, but life goes on. After world war I the lodge declined.” “Masonic Lodge is one of the largest and oldest fraternal organizations in the world. It…

Washington’s Olympic Peninsula

Washington’s Olympic Peninsula

Joe and I had a great weekend in September spent on the Olympic Peninsula. We stayed in Sequim (pronounced Skwim) and visited the Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge (no pictures because it was completely foggy), and the Olympic Game Farm. We completely missed on lunch and dinner on Saturday, but Sunday brunch at The Oak Table Cafe was totally amazing. Next time we want to make it out to the coast and plan on a longer hike in the Hoh Rain Forest…

Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier

I used to think I was a beach/hot weather person. I sure have changed what I know about myself this year. Nothing beats 60 degree weather and a good mountain view.
